hi chris!
i saw the shins in your blog and had to post. we saw them 3 times in 2007, and each time was a different experience. the first 2 concerts didn't impress me much, but at the end of the 3rd concert, they did a cover of pink floyd's "breathe." it was one of the greatest concert moments EVER, for me at least, and sort of redeemed them as a live act. i hope you have the same experience at some point...!

HAPPY HOLIDAYS!! :D

Hi all. Thanks for the band tip, Jess, I haven't heard of them. That's the thing - as for Arizaphale and Harlekwin's comments - I'm just a fan, a slightly obsessive fan, but just a fan. I am not a music expert. I'm glad if people like the music I feature on this site - even gladder if they buy it. Thanks for your comments!

Here's my guess... Robert Plant and Alison Krause... cripes, was I supposed to provide the name of the album too?

The other day Arizaphale noted that it would be really hard to choose because you have featured some really amazing things over the past few months . Just like her, I would like to thank you for bringing this old lady back to her love of new music. You're making the folks at iTunes very happy as a result!

Okay, I'm going with Arcade Fire, Neon Bible. Since this is my fist guess, do I get the nod in the tiebreaker? :)

I thought of you when I downloaded this one. I think it's good but I find it less infectious than the previous stuff. I have to say, I have been listening to "In Rainbows" for the last four weeks pretty much non-stop.

And by the way, Graham likes the Shins, too. He seems to be partial to "Oh, Inverted World!"

Have you heard of Viva Voce? They toured with the Shins this past year. The guitarist for them played in our old church's band (interesting considering the direction their music has gone now!).

Maybe the Shins should consider doing an album for kids. Graham seems to like them, too!
