I am ashamed to say that although I’ve spent four wonderful years in England, I haven’t visited Oxford. Still, I am always amazed at the daring way the Brits assimilate Corinthian acanthus with steel and glass Victorian structures. Beautiful. Thanks for sharing.
Beautiful shot, as always. Hubbie and I met up in London for a long vacation weekend back when we were pre-kid. There was just so much to do and see that we never made it out of the city limits. We’ll make it back someday. Hubbie was admiring all of your header images and is getting a hankering for a trip back over the pond again.
I love it! I will be visiting Oxford in July and will surely look for this shot to see how it appears in context. I think you might just have picked out the very best part.

This is the interior of the Oxford University Museum, looking up at the glass roof. My favorite place in Oxford!

Beautiful. Reminds me of all the glassed-in arcades in London, where you’d find a cluster of shops off the high road.
Happy WW,

That is one of my favorite buildings in England. I like it much better than the Natural History Museum in London, and it’s less crowded.
