i tend to be obsessive with my music, too, only i get stuck on one or two albums and then play them repeatedly (compulsively?) until i can't stand to hear them anymore. so i can relate, sort of . . . :)

an excellent take on her musical and personal ups and downs, btw. i feel for her, i really do. my favorite song of hers is "this is to mother you," although i'm partial to the linda ronstadt/emmylou harris cover. it makes me weep every single time i hear it.</description>

		<description>My favourite Sinead song is 'Black Boys On Mopeds' and it NEVER fails to make me tear up, especially this part:
Young mother down at Smithfield
5 am, looking for food for her kids
In her arms she holds three cold babies
And the first word that they learned was "please"
The emotion that she packs into those four short lines creates such a powerful image. And the child-like high pitch that she uses for that one word, "please", is heartbreaking.</description>
