Though I'm not at all jaded about wombats. They're beautiful. I've only seen one in the wild though, driving on a windy road through the mountains. It waddled across the road, taking no notice of us, then blundered his way into the bush and disappeared. Was awesome! Oh, and I saw an echidna once too, burrowing its way under a log. It got about halfway under, and we snuck around behind it to watch, but it knew we were there, and the spines shot straight up. That was pretty cool too! It’s funny how the rest of the world views kangaroos - they’re just so normal to us!
