We Be Toys – “No” can’t be far away! Since I’ve written this he’s gotten “ball”, “bird” and “that”.

Ariza – Alison just plays the banjo. Oh, look, Boyhowdy explained.

Boyhowdy – I’m really trying to get him to say “dog”. Preceded by “Go”.

NATUI – No, but funny story. We were at the beach with the Arizaphale clan and didn’t have any dinner for him. So, I raced to the convenience store where they had NOTHING. So, I got him some Nutrigrain cereal which is neither nutritious nor particularly grainy. But it is full of sugar, which he enjoyed.

Joe – I’m working on that too.

Nurse – She’s good isn’t she.

@arizaphale: alison brown doesn’t generally do her own vocals; her albums generally have a plethora of guest vocalists on ‘em for each track. In this case, I think we’re hearing the wonderful pipes of ubiquitous bluegrass singer-songwriter and producer Tim O’Brien.

Oh, and thanks for the mention, Chris. Our eldest daughter’s second word, after “dog”, was “both”, as in:

“Do you want this toy in the bath, or the bunny washcloth?”

“Bof! Bof!”

It does indeed just get worse from here.

Oh honey, just consider the possibilities – I assure you that “No!” or “Mine!” are far worse first words than “More!”, especially when it’s said over and over. Sorry, I think it triggered some PTSD for me from the toddler years.

That’s a particularly adorable little face up there – almost edible!
