Starting today and continuing until my karma wears out, I have Mondays free. Which means that Mondays have become the best day of the week. No teaching, no writing, just me and Boy Z free in the world. This was always the plan when we moved to Oz and after six months of hard work, the plan is hatched – Monday is Boy Z and Papa Party Day. Life just gets better.
It’s a sunny and balmy 82F in Adelaide today, any guesses where we’re headed?

This track, by Philly’s Canadian Invasion, has nothing to do with that post. But it’s catchy pop licks give you a musical idea of my mood today. And it has one of the best song titles of all time. Canadian Invasion has a new album upcoming, so if you like what you hear, support blogger-friendly artists by buying their music.

My days of alone time with my boys are coming to an end… Kindergarten starts for us in January. It’s awesome that you know how much to appreciate this time.

Like this track very much. Also like Boy Z’s glasses. I think he carries them off well. I used to love my one day off a week with the BA when she was this age. Try and make all jobs in the future conditional on this one day a week until he is 5. It is priceless time, once lost never reclaimed. He is a lucky boy to have such a hands on dad.

Z is rocking those shades.
I’m really glad you get that time with him every week. You’ll treasure even more as he grows older.
I’m relieved that Autumn is finally here and am actually looking forward to winter. I hope we get snow this year. But at the same time, I wouldn’t cry over being on a beach like that somewhere.

That is one stylin’ baby! He wears his shades with just the right attitude.
I am so jealous – I miss those lazy days of hanging with the mini monkeys – those days go so fast, I’m glad you guys are seizing these days.

You two are going to the grocery store aren’t you? I mean 82 is pretty warm and you can cool off in the freezer section right?
I was going to guess the beach, what with the title and all, but that seemed to obvious. And reminded me that if I didn’t have to work I could be at the beach in 5, 4, 3, 2, ……

When G started preschool she had Friday’s off. We called it “Chick Day” and we always lived it up. Made me a little nostalgic here, friend. *sniff*
Enjoy.

FGIS – I’m thrilled to have it and hope I can sustain it at least until he gets to school age.
SSG/NATUI – That’s a picture from back in August.
Holly – Nothing like a good plan that comes to fruition.
Agnes – It’s good stuff. I love a bit of John Mayer slagging.
Ariza – You do realize that those are the BA’s shades?
Angel – He’s a dude.
Joe – Aren’t you a long way from a beach?
We Be Toys – Carpe diem.
PIS – What, are you my personal fashion critic? Girly hat, fascist shoes, anything else you’d like to criticize? My hair style?
Courtney – Come down and join us!
Vixen – Unfortunately, we did have to go to the grocery store as well.
Xbox – I was thinking of shaving us matching mohawks yesterday, but then I’m pretty sure his Mum would have kicked our asses.

Great news about the Monday Party Days. I’m sure it is time you will truly appreciate. You only get one chance to see them grow up. It is great you are taking full advantage of it! Watch out for the crazy sharks… hear they are worst in Adelaide!

But you know I can’t say anything about hair. For me, it’s either shaved or Riff Raff.

I’m going to pout now.
