Free man,
This is an awesome top ten list series, I can't wait to see what the rest are. It seems like you might be into top ten lists, you should post this to our site http://www.toptentopten.com/ and you can link back to your site. We are looking for content and in return our users will track back to your site. The coolest feature is you can let other people vote on the rankings of your list.

I'm amazed at the progress(?) that's been made in autism research over the last few years. Some very dear friends of mine have an autistic son. He can actually communicate, which makes him a great candidate for some of the studies that are taking place at the University of Michigan (yay, go Blue), and Western Michigan University. I really wish I could remember the name of the study they're in right now. It studies the genetics of mom and dad, and how it affects the DNA of child.

Really amazing stuff.

Heather - After a while, blogophile.

Savvy - Thanks for your visit.

NS - I'm pretty sure it's bogus, but all the same glad to be living in drought ridden Oz.

SSG - Get down there. I'm sending down the gimp.

Mongola - A lot of behavioral things are nature, particularly a tendency to addiction.

Mickey - Per se.

Teri - I know what you mean about the small children. They suck it right out of you.

NATUI - It's a perfect photo. Glad that you flogged a mug!

Holy shit! And, I just checked my CafePress site and someone bought a Palin Fruit Fly mug! Hot damn! How ironic that on the day I spend my time reading about genetics that someone buys that design for the first time!

Awww! Glad you could use my two favorite men to illustrate your point.

I am excited to have a little heavy reading in line for the next few days. I need to save my brain from the SAHM Vortex.

Fascinating. I will read up. I used to teach biology. My genetics wheels need some greasing, as I stay at home with small children. Great stuff. Thanks.

Fascinating. You're upping my knowledge Free Man.
Being an adoptee whose never met her biological parents, I've always wondered (with some of my more dominant 'idiosyncracies' anyway) what is 'nature' and what is 'nurture'.
Behind that thought is what I've always believed is true: They (nature/nuture) can never be fully separated.
