I need to take you up on this. I’ve been listening to the same alt and 80s stations for years, such that I haven’t discovered any new bands unless I stumble into a bar and hear something without planning. Invariably, I always find a way to appreciate, and even love, what I hear in that moment.

Perhaps this is why when I travel for work, I enjoy going out into whatever town we’re in, even though I’m usually alone.

for God’s sake! Limericks have a syllable count!!!! You cannot do 10 in the first line and 8 in the second!!!!! Not to mention ELEVEN on the last line!!!!!!!! The thing has to SCAN people!!!!!!!

eg:

In Adelaide there lived a man free
Who faced the bright days with much glee
But the day of Christ’s birth
Did not fill him with mirth
Nay, the whole season spurred him to flee!

Rewrite ten times and see me at recess.
Excuse me, I’m off to take my vallium.
