We’re back and as I learned on our last holiday, traveling with an eighteen month old boy is not relaxing.
But it is fun.
After a long day to get home, I need a good night’s sleep. But here are a bunch of photos to tide you over.
Many thanks to Agnes, Rassles and Mickey for holding down the fort.
I’ll leave you with one of the tracks that best defines this vacation, from Luna’s “The Days of Our Nights” – available from Amazon.

Welcome home! Guest blogging is nice but there’s no substitute for the real deal. An amendment to your post:
…traveling with an eighteen month old boy [AND AN EXPETANT WIFE] is not relaxing.
Nice pics.

Those pictures are unreal! What a beautiful country you’ve adopted.
Except for the birds. They’re creepy.

I like the GNR quote in the title. What I don’t like is that you skipped over me in your list of “folks whom I can trust to write quality posts in my absence.” What’d you think-that I’d write about shitting in the ocean or something? Asshole.
You’re no sweet child of mine.

TUB – Yeah, the expectant not-wife was a handful as well.
Nichole – After some initial uncertainty, I’m becoming a fan of the birds.
SIS – Yep, he’s obsessed with critters.
Courtney – Thanks.
Mickey – I seem to recall you comparing my adopted homeland to San Diego. Maybe not so much?
CMGD – The house was very cool. Good fun.
April – They really are.
NATUI – We got so lost in an information free zone that we forgot it was St. Patricks Day until we got on the ferry on the way home and it was on the news.
Rassles – ‘Twas.
Alice – Thanks.
Muskrat – Swallow that fragile pride, big boy. Your on the list. I have a special assignment for you come football season.
Heather – Thanks.

Yo, dude, you take A LOT of photos. But some really good ones. The person that took the one of you all didnt do as good a job. But it all looks great, it reminds me I wanna go home in the summer and play in the sea and the mountains. And i don’t want kids for a long while. Although weeZ is cute, i am pretty much too selfish to want to be anything cept relaxed on hols at the moment. Way to go.

FGIS – Phew, tell me about it.
Mongola – That’s actually Cape du Couedic (pronounced Cape da Cooty) but I couldn’t be bothered to look it up the other night.

Those are some phenomenal photos. Glad you had a good time, and I’m sure you and your family deserved it.
Not to be selfish, but I’m glad to have you back. The guest posts are great, but I’m with The Unbearable Banishment… there’s no substitute.

Hi! Looking at those makes me long for another holiday. You got some beautiful light and great contrasts in weather. I had a brief visit over the other night but the net dropped out and I couldn’t get the slide show. This was my first chance to see it. *sigh*
Trust Dr OC to find the COOLEST beach house on the island. That in itself made me green with envy after Wallaby Bob’s.
