Just went through that myself — it always takes three times as much time as you expect, but I think the results are worth it! CSS drives me bonkers and I hate IE with the burning hot passion of a thousands suns, but I feel like a conqueror once I finally get it right!

I tend to want to makeover my site about a day after I get it finished. I can never settle on a “look” so I just give up. Looking good so far though over here.

If I weren’t so goddamn lazy I’d revamp my site. It’s an awful template. I wonder if I’d keep more readers if it were more visually appealing? Can I make a mild “suggestion” without you hating my guts and blocking my access? The survey scroll-up is, ummm… well… yes. It is what it is.

I don’t know where the take a survey pop up is coming from, that’s not in my code. I think it’s through BlogHer. I’ll sort it out with them.

Next time, send out a mass email as a heads up. I nearly stroked out when this site came up. I guess I need to learn to deal with change a bit better. Considering you did a great job whittling down your blog from three columns to two, I trust you will do well with this incarnation as well.

I find the watery background a little distracting. To me, it draws the eye away from the center of the page. And like NATUI, I was shocked when the page opened. Thought I had landed at the wrong site. But maybe like any other change, it just takes some getting used to.

dude, i’m with dr o’c and ariza, not sure about the blue background, unless you can get it paler or higher res, then it might look cool. Ha, do you like the way we dont do anything but then tell you when you’ve missed a bit. You or DrO’c want anything from the US?
