I’m not sure what Boy Z thinks of his loving mother based on this conversation over the weekend…
Can you say Papa’s boy?

aww poor Mummy! I was expecting worse actually. Toddlers + pregnant woman = time for silly comments.
Danielle´s last blog ..Where the Wild Things Are!
How many takes did you have to do to get that one? Hmmm?

Ha! That was adorable.

ZenMom´s last blog ..Whirling Dervish
I think there may have been a little cheating involved in the answers. It would have been less obvious if the person feeding the lines wasn’t the one holding the camera. And E had the same pair of crocs, but he outgrew them. He’s actually sporting a two-tone pair right now.
Jacob´s last blog ..Feeling a Little Too Manly
That’s fantastic. I bet Mama wasn’t real happy with Daddy after that one, huh?
Danielle – He’s obsessed with her stomach. He calls it a ball.
Chris – Uh, one! Although, to be fair he called her a genius last time she asked and said that I wasn’t.
ZenMom – Thanks
Jacob – What the hell are you talking about! I wasn’t feeding him lines. (Mental note to do some audio editing).
SIS – Probably not now that I’ve posted it on the internet.
Funny. He needs to get a Tide shirt, though. So, you’re flying to Chicago this weekend, right? Right?

All three of ours are momma’s kids. On the bright side, for Dr. O’C, is that one day, he’ll score a TD (or game winner or something) and look at the TV camera and say “Hi, Mom!”

That is awesome. You have completely brainwashed your kid.

Awww! SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO cute, if not quite diplomatic.
If it’s any consolation for mom – one of the problems I have with our school nurse is that she bases opinions on the answers the preschoolers give her.
Now I know that SOMETIMES preschoolers are interested in giving a correct answer (for instance if you were asking whether they wanted chocolate cake or spinach). But lots and lots of the time the little guys will just give an answer because they recognize that someone has asked them a question and they need to fulfill the duty of answering.
One exchange last year went like this –
Nurse – Nick, does your throat hurt?
Nick – Yes
Nurse – Does your stomach hurt?
Nick – Yes
Nurse – Did it hurt this morning before school?
Nick – Yes
Me – Nick, is the sky purple?
Nick – Yes
And the kid in this story was at least three & probably closer to three and a half!
For cryin’ out loud – the kid can’t even fully appreciate the difference between “this morning before school” and “a week ago last Tuesday”. That’s why I have to interject with ridiculous questions.

gotta love how your wife asks not “is mama beautiful?’ but “is mama a genius?” that means she in fact is a genius.
great vid.

Is Papa cool? Yep. (I love it. No hesitation whatsoever.)
And I’m sure he thinks genius is a bad word. Positive.
p.s. CROCS, MAN.
maggie, dammit´s last blog ..I’ve been to Glen Rock, Black Rock, Little Rock, Oskaloosa, Tennessee, Hennessey, Chicopee, Spirit Lake, Grand Lake, Devils Lake, Crater Lake, for Pete’s sake.
That was classic. And it goes to show another reason you need a daughter. Dr. O’C definitely needs a bit more estrogen on her side to balance out all that testosterone.
What? No comments from mommy?
Tyler’s answer to just about everything in his little world is “DA”, which I use to my advantage.
“Tyler, who do you love more than anyone else in the entire world?”
“DA!”
Winner winner, chicken dinner.
Joe @ IrrationalDad´s last blog ..More Wordlessness v. Playground Fun
Joe@ID There is no reason to comment. The boy definitely likes his papa better than his mama! I think I even rank below his nana and the dog. He did agree that I was a genius last week, so I will have to live with that for now.
Oh, babe, he likes you better than the dog!
Only recently! It was touch and go there for awhile!
He still likes my mum better than me:(
I might have to start feeding him more chocolate or something….
Why do I have the feeling you coach him on those daddy/son days you two have together? He’s absolutely adorable even if he is a bit misguided right now.
Angel´s last blog ..Running Down a Dream
Dr. O’C, whose initials for that nickname are DOC, I know the feeling. I’m a distant also ran in comparison to my wife. I think I may even rank below my dad. I am well above the dog, though.

April´s last blog ..Book Review: The Middle Place by Kelly Corrigan
Muskrat – Tide? Hell no. Chicago? Not unless someone paid my fare.
Kelly – I always wanted a girl because girls love their Dads. Looks like I made out OK with the boy.
Suzer – Cheers.
Headbang – One can tell that you’re an ad man.
Theresa – We’re not reliving the Crocs debate. Comfortable, colorful, washable – nuff said.
Kitty – Well, that depends on who you talk to…
SSG – What are you trying to say?
cIII – “Surrender, SURRENDER!” Love that song.
Cat – No comment.
Bulldog – A test century. And I hope so.
Mongola – Yeah, they’re only trainable like that for a little while. That’s why I’m working him early. Chances are he isn’t going to think I’m cool for long.
Blues – That’s my job as parent.
Jill – Yeah, we have times like that. When ‘yesh’ or ‘noooo’ is the answer to every question.
CMGD – God, I hate my voice in that video – and that goofy laugh.
Ms Picket – She’s both.
Maggie – Why would there be any hesitation?
NATUI – If we have a girl, she’s totally going to be Daddy’s girl.Dr. O’C can have Zach if we have a girl.;)
Joe – Use it while you can!
Angel – Why is everyone accusing me of malfeasance?
Jacob – What about the ducks?
Xbox- You can here an American accent in ‘yep’ and ‘nooooo’?
April – Yeah, it will change. I’m sure there will be a post in the not to distant future bemoaning my son’s desertion.
Cute lil feller – except for the black & red. Would be more handsome in Orange & Blue. By the way, SEC media days this week…the countdown to SEC football is well underway.
