dashcurry We’re going to try and force the issue with A Free Fetus tonight. Boy Z made his intentions to appear known about 24 hours after a spicy lunch at Red Star Noodle Bar in Oxford. We’re booked in for a fiery curry at Charminar in Brighton tonight. If that fails, there are other options…

What? I’m talking about pineapple.

Perverts.

Good luck! Something spicy followed by “pineapple” (ahem) worked for me both times. Can’t wait to hear all about A Free Fetus’s entrance into the world. If the curry works will you consider naming him or her Bhuna or Karai?

I can’t remember the date I guessed but I hope the baby’s birth is easy, safe and fun (just thought I’d throw that one in).

I never got to try the ‘pineapple’ as labour starter. I think that’s a good thing because of how fast the boy arrived. It could have been interesting.

A week after the due date we tried cod liver oil. Horrible. And then we went dancing. Much better. Sounds like you are ready and enjoying the last days before you meet the new baby in person. How much loving fun you will all have!

I dunno… *shrug shrug*…This one teacher at work told me that if you have sex on the Sabbath (which today totally is if you’re Jewish) than it’s DOUBLE mitzvah (good deed type thing that God commanded). So that’s not even perverted at ALL! I mean, if the pineapple doesn’t work…

Good luck! I had to threaten both of my (7-10 days overdue) sons before they decided to make their appearance. Both times the doctor scheduled me for induction and then, like magic, I went into labor on my own. Stubborn little cusses.

I think I’ve heard that drinking gin in a warm bath can do the trick. At if it doesn’t at least Dr O’C’s had a drink. I suspect she could use one by now. At this late stage one couldn’t hurt, could it?

MJRC – M.I.A. got a lot of ‘eeewss’ about that, but I thought it was awesome. Americans seem to be uncomfortable about pregnancy. And breastfeeding. But that’s a whole different kettle of fish.
