In spite of your spitefulness against Florida, I do actually root for UGA (well, not very hard) when the play non-SEC teams, especially against major conference foes. But if the opponent is really bad (Troy, Charleston Southern, etc.), I can’t help but pull for the underdog as it would be too funny if Georgia lost – like their bi-annual defeat by Vandy.

Monty – I guess it’s worth something…

Prefers – It’s a good site as well.

HIF – I was pulling hard for the Vols last week against an SEC opponent! I actually have a lot of respect for UT, except when they play us. Although I’m not sure about this new coach. I loved Phat Phil.

Jacob – What is the spread? I don’t even know. If it’s more than 10, I would pick against the spread as well.

Cat – Tech? What is it about Tech? I’ve got no less than three readers who are Tech fans.

Technobabe – He’s very good, isn’t he?

KCJ – We’re West Wing fans as well. Been watching it from the beginning of the series again.

Courtney – I’m going to ban you in a minute.

Carolyn – I actually think we’re full up with Dawg stuff this year. If we get anymore, Dr. O’C may spit.

SciFi Dad – You note I only said SEC teams. You Big 10 fans are a different breed – without loyalty, honour or (in recent years) much talent. That is why SEC fans cheer so vigorously against you. In fact, a couple of years ago I broke my own rule and cheered for UF against OSU in the National Championship.

So, as a Michigan fan, when I watch Penn State play Notre Dame I should root for the team that can screw up my team’s chances of a Bowl berth? (Although ideally I’d root for a 0-0 tie littered with turnovers and penalties.)
