Submitting Your Music

A Free Man was established as a music blog. Despite having expanded the content, I still intend to post reviews of new music at least once or twice a week. A Free Man is delighted to get new tunes from artists in consideration for review. I can not mention all of the submitted tracks, but make my best effort. Here are some tips to improve your chances of getting selected:

  • I listen to all of my music through iTunes. Make sure that the information required for iTunes to read the artist and title are embedded in your mp3 file. I receive a large number of submissions and will not go searching for that information.
  • I’m an album oriented kind of guy and would prefer to receive the entire LP or EP either as MP3 files or on CD. Please contact me by e-mail (chris[at]afreeman[dot]org) for a physical address.
  • Please submit biographical information, images and contact information along with your music.

    Hello,
I am a musicologist with strong interest in music related online reviews.

I read some articles on your blog and found them very informative and well written.
I just wanted to inform you about Amy Speace. A great artist I’ve been enjoying on the net and in my opinion one of the best americana/folk/country musicians around.
If you could take the time, check her out and write something about her that would be great.
Here are some links to get you directly to her…
